Delhi’s first exclusive exhibit for men – Gentlemen’s Club

The city witnessed a very unique and a first-of-its-kind of concept being opened to the city’s luxury and lifestyle conscious, suave gentlemen in the heart of the nation’s capital at the maiden edition of Gentlemen’s Club. Delhi’s first exclusive exhibit for the men who admire, appreciate and understand boutique luxury, Gentlemen’s Club brought together the finest brands in Men’s luxury ranging from fashion, automobiles, wellness, travel, golfing, and grooming all at a one stop destination.
Organised by Poonam Gurbuxani Puriand Smriti Puri, the event saw the presence of several notable designers, corporate heads and Delhi’s social glitterati come together to celebrate the success of Delhi’s first event dedicated to the overall wellness and lifestyle needs of men. Among those spotted include Rohit Bal, Shakti Kapoor, Karan Wahi, Jagdish Tytler, Shivan & Narresh, Kanika Goyal, Sahil Aneja, Dhruv Kapoor,Jatin Kochhar and Siddartha Tytler.

Mrs India Queen of Substance 2016

The brainchild of is the brainchild of Vinay Yadawa and Ritika Vinay (Mrs Asia Pacific 2014), the Mrs India Queen of Substance pageant exemplifies beauty, talent, intelligence and compassion. A total of forty stunning women not only from various states of India but also from Dubai, Sharjah, London, Hongkong and the USA, participated in the pageant and displayed their talents in different fields.
The four day event was flagged off by Bollywood actresses Mahima Choudhry and Bhagyashree and Bengaluru native Sneha Shergill was crowned Mrs India Queen of Substance 2016 with Nerrissa Sampey and Archana Nagabhushan bagging the first and second runners up positions respectively.

Design Awards 2015-16

DLF Emporio, concluded the 4th edition of DLF Design Awards 2015-16 on 29th February. The theme of this edition of DLF Emporio Design Awards was classic Black and White Vintage. Inspired from the fashion legends like Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe and the classics of 1900’s like The Great Gatsby in shades of black and white,the participants were expected to craft vintage-yet-modern pieces to appeal today’s DLF Emporio shopper who has a knack for luxury and elegance.

Female Auditions

Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) conducted female model auditions #GETNOTICED, after a nation-wide hunt, for the upcoming 27th edition of the Amazon India Fashion Week in association with Maybelline New York Autumn-Winter 2016. An eminent jury comprising celebrated designers Namarata Joshipura, Nainika Karan, Gauri Karan and Rina Dhakaas well as choreographer Aparna Behl shortlisted 14 beautiful faces, who will be the shining stars of tomorrow. These shortlisted models will add pizzazz on the Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2016 catwalk. Models were evaluated on poise, self-confidence, attitude, elegance and a winning personality.

Amazon India Fashion Week’s male model auditions

Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) takes new strides and conducts the male model auditions #GETNOTICED after a long time for AIFWAW16. Almost 200 aspiring models put their best foot forward showcasing confidence and poise for the 27th edition of the Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2016, in association with Maybelline New York. The jury comprising designers Rohit Bal, Varun Bahl, Divyam Mehta and ace choreographer Anu Ahuja shortlisted 24 new talent, who will get an opportunity to walk the ramp for a specially curated, menswear show, to be presented by three young designers. Models were evaluated on walk, fitness and attitude on the ramp.

International Woolmark Prize

Catherine Teatum and Rob Jones, from London-based label Teatum Jones, won the womenswear final of the 2015/2016 International Woolmark Prize, at a special event as part of New York Fashion Week. Teatum Jones will receive AU$100,000 to help support the development of their business. They will also receive ongoing industry mentor support, and their capsule collection, created for the International Woolmark Prize, will go on sale in some of the world’s most prestigious department stores and boutiques.

SENSATION WHITE celebrates ‘Be Sensational’

Sensation, known as the White Party, tied up with Delhi based designer Niket Mishra to present the all exclusive Sensation White Range in association with Budweiser. Mishra travels to the heart of the youth, experimenting with a minimalistic palette in hues of pristine white, hand woven linens, polished cottons and fluid silks. Inspired by a veritable oasis, the signature series embodies shimmering gold and silver intertwined with embroidered lace as the key ingredient of the palette used. That showcases traditional and geometrical weaves and patterns.
