The collection is inspired by the bright colors of Marrakech, informed by the inescapable sense of joy in a wedding party, and handcrafted with the brand’s signature – intricate Indian mirror work. This is a collection that celebrates the heart that is poured into occasions and celebrations from a Roka to a wedding whether parent or bff; Celebrations big and small, OTT and low key, from the destination venue of Marrakech to the neighborhood garden. Abhinav Mishra’s ‘Dilbar’ is a grand celebration of love itself- mischievous, flirty, and indulgent.
The collection features sweeping paneled lehengas, intricate blouses, floor gazing shararas and tulle dupattas for women and stunning kurtas with signature mirror-work, for men. These are silhouettes designed for the many things an Indian shaadi is- long overdue reunion, epic party and the coming together of old and new stories. Each piece uses a combination of elegant hand work including traditional zari, chawal dana, cutwork resham, and Abhinav Mishra’s signature mirror-work that the eponymous brand is known for. Just as love blooms in spring, so does the palette draw inspiration from the season. Rich aquamarines and riotous pops of color pair against pastel shades- colors symbolic of hope, love and affection.
